Assistant Deputy Chief Commissioner – Training Support
Are you interested in supporting others through their training journey? This role supports the Deputy Chief Commissioner Training support in managing the Training Support portfolio, and the high standard of those who deliver any kind of training in Scouts WA.
Branch Commissioner – Adventurous Activities
Are you interested in the high excitement opportunities Scouts WA do? This role manages the Adventurous Activities team, charged with delivering those activities that are adventurous, and the high quality training of those who deliver them.
Branch Commissioner – Leader Training
Are you interested in sharing knowledge and successes of scouting with new leaders. This role manages the Scouts WA training program including course content and delivery.
Branch Commissioner – Supplementary Training
Are you interested in helping others with outside training opportunities? This role will develop a host of partnerships to help Scouts WA members with additional training, such as first aid, or mental health first aid.
Branch Commissioner – Youth Training
Are you interested in developing the skills of youth as a whole? This role coordinates the youth training courses, such as sectional personal development courses, and the Young Leader Development Program.
Branch Adviser – Disability Support
Are you interested in supporting those members in scouting with additional needs or are you passionate about helping those people in the community access Scouting? This role provides advice and support to members on how to include anyone who requires extra support succeed in Scouting.
Branch Adviser – Educational Purpose
Are you interested in ensuring that the fundamental elements of Scouting and it’s purpose is met? This role provides advice and support to members about how to ensure the purpose of scouting is embedded within the program.
Are you interested in ensuring that 5.5 – 8 year olds get the best out of their Scouting journey? This role provides advice and support to members about the Joey Scout element of the program and how to maximise the program for this age group.

Branch Adviser – LGBTQIA+ Support
Are you interested in supporting and creating a safe environment for those members in scouting to express their gender identity or sexuality? This role provides advice and support to members in being able to include all people in Scouts and make sure safe environments exist in Scouting no matter their personal identity.
Branch Leader – Environment and Sustainability
Are you interested in supporting members of Scouts WA in their environmentally friendly practices and supporting sustainability in their programs? This role provides advice and support to members about ensuring their programming meets environmental practices and that members are working towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Are you interested in the health and welfare of others in Scouting and ensuring safe environments are created not just in a physical sense? This role leads a team to ensure the welfare of all members is considered and optimised at events, and all members are safe from harm in participating in the scout program.
District Commissioner – Beeloo District
Are you interested in supporting and managing groups in a local Scout area? This mid-level management role provides support and direction to Group Leaders (managers of scout groups) in the North Eastern part of the Perth South Region
District Commissioner – Duidgee District
Are you interested in supporting and managing groups in a local Scout area? This mid-level management role provides support and direction to Group Leaders (managers of scout groups) in the northern and eastern towns just outside the Perth Metropolitan Area.
District Commissioner – Minnawarra District
Are you interested in supporting and managing groups in a local Scout area? This mid-level management role provides support and direction to Group Leaders (managers of scout groups) in the South Eastern part of the Perth South Region
District Commissioner – River Ranges District
Are you interested in supporting and managing groups in a local Scout area? This mid-level management role provides support and direction to Group Leaders (managers of scout groups) in the Mid Eastern part of the Perth South Region.
District Commissioner – Three Rivers District

Role Objective:
Branch Advisers contribute to the strategic direction of Scouts WA by managing regular operations within a specified area and advising members on how to apply skills and knowledge in relation to the portfolio.
Where required, this role can lead a team, which may comprise of Branch Leaders, Team Leaders, and Team Members to ensure Scouts WA members are supported and engaged in the portfolio’s areas of responsibility, whilst ensuring quality program delivery throughout the organization.
This role is a Branch level appointment made by the Chief Commissioner on recommendation of the Deputy Chief Commissioner in charge of the specific portfolio.

This role is a Branch level appointment made by the Chief Commissioner on recommendation of the Deputy Chief Commissioner in charge of the specific portfolio.

District Commissioner Role – Three Rivers Full
Role Objective
This is an operational style role with an individual area focus.
District Commissioners contribute to the strategic direction of Scouts WA by providing
support to Scout Groups and Group Leaders within their District and ensuring effective
planning, communication and problem solving are available to Scouts WA members.
This role manages Group Leaders within the District to assist Scout Groups in
embedding the program, undertaking development opportunities and recognizing the
contribution of Scouts WA members. In conjunction with Group Leaders, District
Commissioners are responsible for the growth of Scout Groups and act as a liaison to
Local Government Areas.
This role is a District level appointment made by the Regional Chief Commissioner.
