The Branch Leadership Team are excited to announce that applications for a variety of our vacant positions are now open! Due to the broad range of new opportunities, we have broken down our applications in to two stages; the initial June release, and a later release in July. So that you have all the information you may need to consider your next Scouting adventure, we have listed which roles will be included in each stage, as well as the questions required for the application submission. Who Can Apply:
These roles are considered primary appointments, and as such are open to adult members.

How To Apply:
We are using Microsoft Forms to capture application responses – you can access the form here. Your application will then be forwarded to the relevant Commissioner, who will then contact you regarding the next step of the application process for the role. First stage applications will be open from 8th June to 3rd July and second stage applications will be open from Mid-July to Mid-August. In the case that additional roles that are added, these will be individually communicated and added to the Microsoft Form.

    These skills and experiences could be internal or external to Scouting.
  2. What do you think are the strengths of the portfolio related to this role?

Branch Support Teams – Expression of Interest

Along with these fresh new roles, the Branch Leadership Team is also seeking expression of interest from members who would like to join a variety of Branch Support Teams. These teams supplement our primary roles in Scouting and may be exciting for members with interest in these areas.

Application Process

Who Can Apply:
These roles have varying eligibility types, and as such some are open to both youth and adult members, whilst others are open to only adult members.

Expression of Interest Questions:
These questions are not required to submit an application – however they help to identify each applicants experiences in understanding the role and portfolio.

  1. What experience do you have with the relevant portfolio that contributes to your interest in this role?
    It is likely that you will have gained these experiences from your regular Scouting activities and events, but you may also have skills or knowledge from other areas of life that could relate to this portfolio.
  2. Give an example of an experience where you helped others in relation to this portfolio: 
    Depending on the role, this could be youth or adult members.
  3. Do you have any exciting ideas about opportunities or improvements in this portfolio that you would like to share? 
    This could be resources to be created and shared, developmental opportunities for members or potential partnership opportunities that would be beneficial – perhaps you have a different project or suggestion in mind!
