*Flight Deck at Gilcreek Renovation*

Congratulations to Greg Henderson for securing funds through The State Government’s Gaming Community Trust to put towards renovating the Flight Deck at Gilcreek Scout Camp in Albany.

The Flight Deck was originally constructed at Busselton Airstrip for use during WWII and was once the departure lounge for the Albany Airport until the early 1980’s. With recent improvements, it is definitely ‘a must visit at least once in your Scouting life’ destination!

Greg’s perseverance has certainly paid off creating a safer environment for Scouts WA and other community Groups to use. Colin Holt, the Minister for Racing and Gaming, opened the newly renovated kitchen and dining facilities recently with Greg, click here to see a copy of the article published in The Weekender.
