Scouts WA and the National Redress Scheme

Scouts WA is now ready to receive applications for redress under the National Redress Scheme framework.

Scouts WA has adopted the structure of the Federal Government’s NRS but will implement the Scheme at a local level to best serve West Australians seeking redress.

By adopting the Scheme independently, Scouts WA can review and process cases to the same standards of the NRS, but in timeframes that are likely to be significantly faster and in a more personal way than the national process through Centrelink.

In adopting the NRS framework, Scouts WA’s approach will be supportive of applicants at all times and cases will be reviewed promptly: generally, case discussions will commence within 48 hours of initial contact.

For more information about Scouts WA policies and procedures click here.

For more information about the NRS visit the Scheme website.
