Help Build the Foundations That Support Scouting  

Scouts WA is seeking passionate and capable volunteers to join the Logistics Team within the Support Directorate. 

These three-year appointments play a vital role in supporting the people, equipment and facilities that make Scouting possible across Western Australia. From managing shared equipment and supporting major events to improving Scout facilities and long-term infrastructure planning, these roles help ensure volunteers and young people have access to the resources they need to deliver great Scouting experiences.  

These roles are designed to support and strengthen the work of Scouts WA Head Office staff, not replace it. The Logistics Team works in partnership with staff, volunteers, committees, Districts and Groups to improve coordination, provide additional expertise, and help deliver Branch-wide priorities. These appointments focus on building volunteer capability, improving systems and supporting the practical delivery of Scouting across Western Australia, while complementing and enhancing the work already undertaken by Head Office.

Available Positions

Branch Commissioner | Logistics

Provide strategic leadership for logistics operations across Scouts WA. 

This role leads the Logistics Team and oversees three key functions: event logistics, equipment management, and facilities management. You will help develop systems that support major events, improve access to shared resources, and ensure Scout facilities remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. 

Key Focus Areas: 

• Logistics strategy and planning 
• Event logistics and operational support 
• Asset and equipment management 
• Facilities and property support 
• Governance, safety, and risk management     

Branch Leader | Quartermaster

Help ensure every Group has access to the equipment they need to deliver great programs. 

This role leads Scouts WA’s shared equipment system, including equipment depots, maintenance programs, and booking systems. You will help maximise the use of existing resources, reduce duplication and improve access to equipment for camps, activities, and major events.  

Key Focus Areas: 

• Equipment depots and storage 
• Equipment booking and allocation systems 
• Asset maintenance and lifecycle management 
• Event equipment support 
• Shared resource utilisation 

Branch Leader | Assets and Infrastructure

Help maintain and improve the facilities that support Scouting across Western Australia. 

This role works with Groups, Districts, Head Office and the Properties Committee to improve visibility of facilities, strengthen compliance, coordinate maintenance, and support long-term infrastructure planning.   

Key Focus Areas: 

• Facility compliance and inspections 
• Property and infrastructure planning 
• Maintenance programs 
• Contractor and service coordination support 
• Asset management and governance
