Donations and Bequests
For more than 100 years, Scouts WA has been empowering young people to make positive change in the world. Many prominent Australians are also Scouts and acknowledge the positive role Scouting played in developing their character.
By donating to Scouts WA, you are making an investment in the future of our State, and in the leaders of tomorrow. Your fully tax-deductible donation will help more of WA’s youth develop leadership skills, civic responsibility, resilience, creativity, and so much more.
We depend heavily on public support to help us continue with the life-changing programs, events, and camps that help shape today’s youth into tomorrow’s global citizens.
Where Does My Donation Go?
Your gift helps us achieve so much for our youth! We pool all donations to maximise every individual’s impact to Scouts WA. By leveraging multiple donations, we can achieve some big goals. Below are the primary areas your gift supports.

The Caring Circle
Cost of living pressures impact everyone – whether directly and harshly, or indirectly and lightly. The Caring Circle was established to help families who are struggling to continue with Scouting due to financial constraints. Your donation can help families who are struggling to make ends meet, continue to enjoy the benefits of Scouting.

The Scouts WA Training Program
Scouts WA members can access complimentary Tertiary and VET Qualifications which can contribute to their WACE. These VET opportunities are available to all members, including adults.

Adventure Centres
We are dedicated to growing our Adventure Centres at Manjedal, Eaton, Vasse, and Gilcreek for all to enjoy. They are popular venues for Scout Groups looking to engage in challenges that stretch the capacity of youth, or to simply get outdoors and get active. These venues are also available to the public, with schools and community groups able to book the site through a dedicated booking system. Each facility is unique and can accommodate varying group capacities.

The Scouts WA Foundation
The Foundation is how Scouts WA can ensure its legacy for future generations. It seeks to invest funds for large projects, and is administered by the Board of Scouts WA. All funds are exclusively for use in the enhancement of Scouting experiences for youth, and it ensures that Scouting heritage, traditions, customs, and culture are preserved for years to come.
Ways to Donate
We have partnered with PayPal to make donating as easy as possible. You can select whether you would like to make a one-off bequest or whether you would like to set up a recurring donation. If you would like to alocate your gift to a particular group, please make that known in the comments and we will make sure the Group receives the donation in full.
There are three many ways that you can donate: as an individual (either a one-off or as a regular giver); by leaving a bequest; and as a corporate sponsor. Whatever the method, however small the amount, all donations are very much appreciated, and all go towards the main goal of helping young people achieve their potential and thrive in our community.

Individual Giving
We want to see the bulk of our giving come from this sector as it means that people in our communities are actively invested in the youth of today. Whether small or large, one-off, or regular, we appreciate every donation. Your gift helps young people reach their maximum potential.

Bequests
Leaving a bequest is a thoughtful tribute for a lifetime of adventure found through your involvement with Scouts WA. A legacy made through a gift in your will demonstrates foresight in safeguarding Scouts WA for future generations, even for those who are not able to make a gift during their lifetime.
A bequest can take the form of:
- The residue of your estate
- A percentage of the residue
- A set amount of funds
- An asset, such as shares or real estate
Please reach out to our team for more information on how to make a bequest.

Corporate Partnerships
We are developing a giving program specifically for corporations. We recognise that giving can come in a variety of ways, from donated time to brand collaborations. We would love to see how we might be able to work with your organisation!
Some of the opportunities we have offered in the past have been:
- Corporate volunteering days
- Cross promotional opportunities
- Content collaborations
- Networking opportunities
