Gilcreek
This 8 hectare bush site has plenty of room to allow camping, bushwalking, navigation and campfires. A large grassed oval provides a great activities area when a lot of room is needed.
For those that enjoy water activities, there are nine canoes and two kayaks (with paddles & PFD’s) are available for hire and a jetty to try your hand at fishing.
Within an hour of the campsite are tourist attractions such as the National Anzac Centre and Heritage Park, Whaleworld, the Porongurup Range, Middleton Beach, Two People’s Bay nature reserve (ideal for whale watching July – October) and many walk trails including the Bibbulmun Track and it’s Southern Terminus.
A little bit further out is the picturesque Denmark town site, Stirling Range and Valley of the Giants at Walpole.
Accommodation at Gilcreek
Gilcreek offers different accommodation types to suit a variety of group sizes, needs, and budgets.
These dorms accomodate up to 27 people in each dorm. Each dorm has a number of rooms with double bunks. Depending on the room size, some rooms will sleep four, others six or eight. Campers will need to provide their own pillows and bedding.

There are a number of cleared bush sites set up specifically for camping, with cooking fires able to be lit between April and November unless further bans are imposed. A campers kitchen is now completed containing foldout tables, chairs, fridge and microwave (electric kettle upon request) for campers to use during their stay, especially nice, when it’s raining.

Eaton
Eaton Campsite is the ideal place for school camps or outdoor retreats. With modern and comfortable facilities, it caters for mixed accommodation of up to 64 people plus leaders.
Once you’ve settled in, get ready to enjoy all the riverside fun and activities on offer. Owned by Scouts WA, Eaton Adventure Centre is a popular and affordable destination for all ages.
Things to do around Eaton
Easy access to the river Collie makes Eaton the destination of choice for sailing, rowing training or, canoe expeditions. Try your luck at fishing, or take part in a range of other water-based activities. Trails along the Eaton foreshore: Hike, jog or mountain bikes.
An on-site obstacle course and archery can be booked in advance.
Eaton Campsite
With accommodation options of up to 64 people plus leaders, and easy access to the Collie River, Eaton is a blend of low-key and minimally organised activities.
Vasse
The Vasse Campsite is at 236 Caves Road, 280km southwest of Perth via Old Coast Rd and just 12km west of Busselton.
Set on Geographe Bay, the campsite features shady tent sites with fire circles and tables, leader accommodation for two people and a separate kitchen and cool room. There are powered sites for 6 caravans, an outdoor undercover area, barbecues, and a beach at the rear of the site for great water activities.
Things to do around Vasse
Vasse Campsite is conveniently located close to many outdoor activities.
The Cape To Cape track and several other walk trails of different lengths commence at the nearby Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse.
Abseiling at Willyabrup Cliffs and caving at Ngilgi Cave are within driving distance.
For those who prefer water activities, the sea offers the opportunity for canoeing or swimming and surf beaches and safe snorkelling locations are within driving distance.
Want to stay on foot? Nearby Siesta Park Reserve or Locke Nature Reserve, opposite the campsite, are suitable for navigation and environmental activities.
Or if you like cycling, there is a bicycle path into Busselton and further east!
Vasse Campsite
Vasse offers a campsite with acces to nature trails, wildlife, and BBQ facilities. It is also conveniently close to a range of activities like abseiling and caving.
