Meet our Board
The Scouts WA Board comprises 11 elected members, one ex-officio member (Scouts WA Chief Commissioner) and up to a further two members appointed by the Board. The role of the Board is to:
- Set the strategic direction for Scouts WA and oversee the formation and deployment of resources to achieve that strategic direction
- Appoint key Scouts WA officers, including Chief Scout, Chief Commissioner, President, Vice President and Honorary Treasurer
- Ensure the overall organisational wellbeing of Scouts WA
Stephen Davies has served as Chair of Scouts WA since July 2022, bringing governance, leadership, commercial, legal and strategic expertise. His Scouting journey began as a Cub Scout and continued through Scouts and Venturer Scouts, where he achieved the Queen’s Scout Award before serving 12 years as a youth leader. Stephen has 35 years of executive and governance experience across telecommunications, information technology, engineering and health care. He has served as an executive for an ASX 200-listed company and as a non-executive director and chair. Stephen holds master’s degrees in Business, Technology and Law.
Greg is passionate about youth development, with over 20 years’ service as an Officer in the Australian Air Force Cadets and 30 years’ involvement with the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Australia and internationally. Since joining the Scouts WA Board in 2022, he has served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Risk Committee. Greg brings more than 30 years of executive experience across diverse operations, countries and cultures. He is currently CEO of a safety and risk consultancy, with previous executive roles across mining and contracting companies in Australia, Asia and Africa. He holds qualifications in Mining, Adult Education and Occupational Health and Safety.
Gavin leads Scouts WA as Chief Commissioner, providing strategic leadership and oversight across the organisation. He supports senior volunteer leaders, strengthens governance and drives the Scouts WA Strategic Plan. A lifelong Scout, Gavin has progressed from Cub Scout to senior roles, including Regional Chief Commissioner and Group Leader at Bibra Lake. He has received the Queen’s Scout Award, Baden-Powell Scout Award and Silver Koala. Gavin brings project management experience and strengths in governance, planning and stakeholder engagement.
Natasha has a decade of leadership experience in not-for-profit and commercial organisations. Over this time she has also held directorship positions on numerous not-for-profit committees.
Natasha has a Bachelor of Commerce via Curtin University, Post-graduate diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and Master of Leadership through Deakin University.
Since joining the board of Scouts WA in 2022 she is continuously inspired by the power of the scouts program in youth leadership development and growth, plus the selfless giving of adult volunteers.
Danielle Griffiths is a strategic leader with more than 20 years of experience in Scouting and a professional background in innovation, stakeholder engagement and organisational development. Based in Perth, Danielle works in innovation and mining, where she leads initiatives focused on emerging opportunities, partnerships and long-term strategic planning. She brings a commitment to youth development, governance and community impact, along with experience leading volunteers and building collaborative networks across diverse stakeholder groups. Danielle is committed to helping Scouts WA grow and evolve while enabling young people and volunteers to achieve their potential through Scouting.
Rebecca is a Non-executive Director of Scouts WA, bringing a strong commitment to inclusive practice, youth development and effective governance. After moving to Australia from Scotland, her family joined Scouts WA as a shared community activity. Following a rewarding experience as a Scout, she joined the Board to give back to Scouting. Professionally, Rebecca is Director of Inclusive Education at a Pre-K to Year-12 College in Western Australia and has over a decade of experience supporting at-risk and disengaged young people. She remains actively involved locally through her children’s Scout Group and the 23rd Australian Rover Moot.
Tom joined Scouting as a Cub Scout in 1999, progressing through the age sections before becoming an adult leader in the Scout section in 2008. He has been an adult member across Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia, supporting Units across those three Branches and a range of Branch, national and international events. Tom was Contingent Leader for Western Australia to AJ2019 and AJ2025, as well as the Australian Contingent Leader to the 2023-2024 Aotearoa-New Zealand Jamboree and the 2025-2026 Aotearoa-New Zealand Venture. He is currently Branch Commissioner | Events for Scouts WA.
Andrew brings four decades of Scouting experience, progressing through the age sections from Cub Scouts to Rover Scouts and later serving as an adult leader across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia Branches. This has provided him with an understanding of the impact Scouting has on young people and the importance of volunteers, leadership and organisational sustainability. Professionally, Andrew brings executive leadership, governance and strategic planning experience. As General Manager Integrated Operations for BHP Western Australia Iron Ore, he leads a large team and oversees operational, financial, risk and compliance responsibilities. He also holds board and advisory roles, including Chairperson and Director of BHP Titanium Minerals Pty Ltd.
Anthony McAnuff is an executive and community leader with 25 years’ experience in operations, governance, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement. As Branch Director of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia (WA Branch), Anthony leads operations, supports committees, oversees finances and represents the profession with government, industry and stakeholders. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Social Science. His board experience includes education and industry organisations. Anthony’s Scouting connection includes six years with Bibra Lake Scout Group and earlier membership as a Venturer Scout and Rover Scout with Waylen Bay and 3rd Melville Scout Groups.
