Help Tell the Story of Scouting Across Western Australia 

Scouts WA is seeking a passionate and capable volunteer to join the Marketing & Communications Team as Branch Leader I Photography.

This two-year appointment will support the capture of high-quality photographic content across Scouts WA. The role will help document major events, youth activities, programs and campaigns, creating authentic images for publications, social media, websites and other communications.

Available Position

Branch Leader | Photography 

The Branch Leader | Photography captures and manages high-quality images that showcase Scouts WA’s programs, people, diversity and impact across campaigns, events, publications, social media and websites. The role coordinates photography requests, delivers edited images on time, maintains the digital image library and ensures all photography meets branding, child safety, consent, privacy and copyright requirements. 

Key Focus Areas: 

  • Capture authentic images of Scouting activities, events, people and achievements. 
  • Deliver photography requests allocated through Microsoft Bookings and agreed production plans. 
  • Prepare images for social media, websites, publications, campaigns and events. 
  • Maintain an organised and accessible photography library. 
  • Support safe, consistent photography practices across Scouts WA. 
  • Work with Visual Productions and other portfolio teams on shared projects.

You will not be expected to know everything from day one. These roles form part of the broader Marketing & Communications Team, which works together to support and strengthen the Scouts WA brand. You will receive guidance, support and opportunities to build your skills and grow in the role. 

We are looking for people with the right attitude, strong organisational skills and an interest in marketing, branding, social media or digital content. Professional experience is welcome, but practical skills developed through work, volunteering or personal projects are also valuable.
