Scouts WA is seeking passionate and capable volunteers to join the Marketing & Digital Team within the Marketing & Communications portfolio.
These two-year appointments support the Scouts WA brand, social media channels and website experience. The team develops marketing campaigns, maintains clear brand standards, shares engaging content and helps members access current and useful information online.

Available Positions
Branch Commissioner | Marketing & Branding
The Branch Commissioner | Marketing & Branding leads the consistent use of the Scouts WA brand across campaigns, resources, events and communication channels. The role oversees marketing activity, approves branding and design work, develops practical templates and standards, and supports staff and volunteers to strengthen recognition, engagement and consistency across the Branch, Regions, Districts and Groups.
Key Focus Areas:
- Turn strategic priorities into annual marketing plans, campaigns and measurable actions.
- Approve branding, designs, templates and resources within delegated authority.
- Maintain brand standards and ensure consistent use across digital, print, events and merchandise.
- Coordinate marketing support for recruitment, program promotion, events and major initiatives.
- Provide practical brand advice, tools and templates for staff and volunteers.
Branch Leader – Social Media
The Branch Leader | Social Media plans and publishes clear, timely and engaging content across Scouts WA’s approved social media channels. The role manages content calendars, coordinates contributors, supports audience engagement and tracks performance, while ensuring all content meets brand, accessibility, privacy, consent, copyright, child safety and approval requirements.
Key Focus Areas:
- Plan and maintain social media calendars aligned with campaigns and organisational priorities.
- Create, adapt, schedule and publish content across approved Scouts WA channels.
- Coordinate content submissions, approvals, imagery, video and publishing deadlines.
- Monitor comments and messages, respond where authorised and escalate sensitive matters.
- Support storytelling that reflects youth voice, program impact and the diversity of Scouts WA.
- Review channel performance and recommend improvements.
- Provide social media advice, support and mentoring to Groups, Districts and Regions when required.
- Build local capability by sharing practical guidance, resources and approved social media practices.
Branch Advisor | Digital Experience
The Branch Advisor | Digital Experience helps keep the Scouts WA website and other platforms current, accurate and engaging. The role reviews content, coordinates updates and prepares approved information, images, links and resources for publication. It works with the Head Office Team to improve page quality, accessibility and user experience while supporting organisational priorities and brand standards.
Key Focus Areas:
- Gather, prepare and organise content for Scouts WA’s digital channels.
- Work with the Head Office Team to coordinate and implement approved updates.
- Support content owners to provide accurate, current and accessible information.
- Review content structure, navigation, links, forms and calls to action.
- Maintain clear records of content requests, approvals and updates.
- Identify outdated content and recommend improvements to accessibility and user experience.

We are looking for people with the right attitude, strong organisational skills and an interest in marketing, branding, social media or digital content. Professional experience is welcome, but practical skills developed through work, volunteering or personal projects are also valuable.
