Help make financial administration easier for volunteers across Scouts WA. This role supports the systems and processes that help Groups, Districts, and Branch teams manage their finances efficiently, allowing volunteers to spend more time focusing on delivering great Scouting experiences.

Working closely with volunteer treasurers, Group Leaders, Districts, and the Finance team, you will provide guidance, support, and practical solutions that improve confidence in using Xero and other financial systems.

You will play an important role in simplifying financial processes, improving consistency across the organisation, and helping ensure volunteers have the tools and support they need to manage finances effectively.

Why This Role Matters

Strong financial systems help Scouts WA operate efficiently and responsibly. By supporting volunteers to use financial tools confidently and consistently, this role helps reduce administrative burden, improve compliance, and ensure resources are available to support young people and Scouting activities across Western Australia.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Provide support and guidance to volunteer treasurers and users of Xero across Scouts WA.
  • Develop simple processes, guides, and resources that make financial administration easier.
  • Support training and onboarding to build confidence in using financial systems.
  • Help improve financial workflows, reporting, and consistency across Groups and Districts.
  • Promote good financial governance, accurate record keeping, and compliance with Scouts WA requirements.

We Encourage You to Apply

We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t think you tick every box. Research consistently shows that people often rule themselves out of opportunities because they don’t meet every listed criterion. Scouts WA is looking for enthusiastic, capable people who are willing to learn, contribute and grow. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

You will not be expected to know everything from day one. You will receive guidance, support, and opportunities to build your skills and grow in the role.

We are looking for people with the right attitude and strong organisational skills. Professional experience is welcome, but practical skills developed through work, volunteering or personal projects are also valuable.
