Help strengthen the governance, accountability, and integrity of Scouts WA. This role provides leadership in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks that support volunteers to deliver safe, effective, and consistent Scouting across Western Australia.

Working with volunteer leaders, governance teams, and stakeholders across Scouts WA, you will provide advice on policies and procedures, review organisational practices, and help identify opportunities to improve how Scouts WA operates.

This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by helping create clear, practical systems that support volunteers, strengthen governance, reduce risk, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Why This Role Matters

Strong governance and clear procedures help create a safe, transparent, and well-run organisation. This role supports Scouts WA by ensuring policies remain current, compliance obligations are understood, and volunteers have the guidance they need to deliver Scouting with confidence.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Lead the review, development, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and governance frameworks across Scouts WA.
  • Provide advice and guidance to leaders on governance, compliance, and procedural matters.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and identify opportunities to improve policies, processes, and organisational practices.
  • Monitor emerging risks, compliance trends, and systemic issues, recommending practical improvements where needed.
  • Support the delivery of resources, guidance, and education that help volunteers understand and apply policies consistently.

We Encourage You to Apply

We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t think you tick every box. Research consistently shows that people often rule themselves out of opportunities because they don’t meet every listed criterion. Scouts WA is looking for enthusiastic, capable people who are willing to learn, contribute and grow. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

You will not be expected to know everything from day one. You will receive guidance, support, and opportunities to build your skills and grow in the role.

We are looking for people with the right attitude and strong organisational skills. Professional experience is welcome, but practical skills developed through work, volunteering or personal projects are also valuable.
