Help shape the future of Venturer Scouting across Western Australia. In this youth leadership role, you will work with Venturer Scouts and volunteer Leaders to ensure young people have a strong voice in decisions, events, and the direction of the Venturer Scout Section.
Working alongside the Branch Adviser | Venturer Scouts, the Branch Venturer Scout Team, and Youth Leaders from across the state, you will support youth-led initiatives, mentor young leaders, and help create meaningful opportunities for Venturer Scouts to grow, connect, and lead.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the Venturer Scout community by championing youth participation, supporting high-quality programs, and helping more young people enjoy and benefit from Scouting.
Why This Role Matters
Photography helps tell the story of Scouting and demonstrate its impact on young people, volunteers, and communities. This role provides the images that promote Scouting, support recruitment, celebrate achievements, and preserve important moments across the organisation.
Key Focus Areas:
- Capture high-quality images of Scout activities, events, programs, and achievements.
- Prepare and deliver photographs for use in social media, websites, publications, campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate photography requests and work with event organisers and project teams to meet content needs.
- Maintain an organised and accessible image library with appropriate file management and metadata.
- Ensure all photography meets Scouts WA requirements for privacy, consent, child safety, branding, and quality standards.
We Encourage You to Apply
We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t think you tick every box. Research consistently shows that people often rule themselves out of opportunities because they don’t meet every listed criterion. Scouts WA is looking for enthusiastic, capable people who are willing to learn, contribute and grow. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
You will not be expected to know everything from day one. You will receive guidance, support, and opportunities to build your skills and grow in the role.
We are looking for people with the right attitude and strong organisational skills. Professional experience is welcome, but practical skills developed through work, volunteering or personal projects are also valuable.

Please note you must be a Venturer Scout to apply for this role.
