Scouts WA Adventure Centres are a leading provider for school and community group camps at 4 locations across Western Australia. We are currently looking for additional team members to join us, grow with us, and help make our centre an exceptional experience for all who visit.

A career as an Activity Instructor is a fun and dynamic role that requires a special kind of person. You will be supervising the health and welfare of a group of students and engaging them in a range of structured activities on site during the length of their stay. Some activities include high ropes, abseiling, rock climbing and many team-building activities.

As well as facilitating your group through the many activities at camp, you will also be required to help at mealtimes,
everything from assisting with some basic meal prep or washing dishes in one of our two well equipped commercial
kitchens. We all muck in and help!

You will also be required to help with compliance checks, ensuring equipment is safe and operating correctly,
ensuring yourself, and Scouts WA are complying with organizational policies and procedures. At some times, during events or special occasions there may be some late finishes, but we can even offer onsite accommodation to our employees.

We are committed to ensuring that every young person has the right to be safe and protected and all applicants must
be able to obtain a clear police clearance (we will cover the cost of this), and either have, or apply for a Working with
Children card.

No prior experience is required as we will provide all the training you need!
Job is casual to start but we are able and willing to offer permanent part-time or even full-time to the right candidates.

Minimum requirements:
• Working with Children check (must apply and show receipt at start as minimum)
• Current First Aid (or willing to obtain within first month of employment)
• National Police Clearance (Scouts WA will cover this cost)
• Minimum of C Class driver’s license
Highly regarded:
• Cert III or higher in Outdoor Recreation
• Bronze Medallion or Higher
• Manual Driving Licence
