Help create a positive and supportive volunteer experience across Scouts WA. This role focuses on supporting the wellbeing, connection, and engagement of adult volunteers, helping ensure they feel valued, supported, and able to thrive throughout their Scouting journey.
Working with volunteers, leaders, and wellbeing teams across the organisation, you will help deliver programs, resources, and activities that promote resilience, inclusion, connection, and positive wellbeing. You will also support volunteers to access information and support when they need it.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on volunteer retention and satisfaction by helping build a culture where people feel connected, appreciated, and supported while contributing to Scouting.
Why This Role Matters
Volunteers are at the heart of Scouting. This role helps create a positive and supportive environment where volunteers can build connections, maintain their wellbeing, and continue making a difference in the lives of young people and their communities.
Key Focus Areas:
- Develop and support wellbeing initiatives that strengthen volunteer connection, resilience, and engagement.
- Provide guidance and information to volunteers seeking wellbeing resources and support pathways.
- Coordinate wellbeing-focused events, workshops, social activities, and awareness initiatives.
- Deliver training and resources that help leaders create healthy, supportive, and inclusive environments.
- Support initiatives that improve volunteer satisfaction, wellbeing, retention, and organisational culture.
We Encourage You to Apply
We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t think you tick every box. Research consistently shows that people often rule themselves out of opportunities because they don’t meet every listed criterion. Scouts WA is looking for enthusiastic, capable people who are willing to learn, contribute and grow. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
You will not be expected to know everything from day one. You will receive guidance, support, and opportunities to build your skills and grow in the role.
We are looking for people with the right attitude and strong organisational skills. Professional experience is welcome, but practical skills developed through work, volunteering or personal projects are also valuable.
