Help more young people access great outdoor adventures by building and leading Scouts WA’s shared equipment system. This role ensures Groups and events have access to the equipment they need, when they need it. 

You will lead a team of volunteers supporting equipment storage, maintenance, and distribution across the state. Working with Groups, Districts, event teams, and community volunteers, you will help create practical systems that make equipment more accessible and easier to manage. 

This is an opportunity to improve how Scouts WA manages and shares resources, reducing duplication, increasing equipment use, and supporting more young people to take part in camps, activities, and outdoor experiences. 

Why This Role Matters

Many Groups do not have access to all the equipment they need for activities and camps. By leading Scouts WA’s shared equipment system, this role helps remove barriers, makes better use of existing resources, and supports volunteers to deliver quality programs for young people across the state. 

Key Focus Areas:

• Lead and support a team of volunteers managing equipment storage, maintenance, and distribution. 
• Develop and oversee equipment depots and systems that make resources easy to access and use. 
• Ensure equipment is safe, well maintained, and ready for activities and events. 
• Work with Groups, Districts, and event teams to understand equipment needs and coordinate support. 
• Improve the way Scouts WA tracks, shares, and manages equipment to maximise its value across the organisation.
