Rotto Splash 2026
Rotto Splash 2026
This year’s one-day event will focus on the environment, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and community service, all while working on your OAS progressions. Thanks to support from the Rottnest Island Authority, we will begin the day with a ranger-led talk followed by a beach clean-up with data collection on the collected waste contributing to environmental awareness and action.
Youth will need to register into one of 2 groups each aligned with a specific SDG theme: Life Below Water and Life on Land.
This event is for Venturers and Rovers.
The Life on Land group will conduct their clean-up by bike, during which participants could log up to two bike rides for OAS progression.
The Life Below Water group will focus on a snorkelling-based beach clean-up. Participants in this group may complete most, if not all, of OAS Stage 4 Snorkelling and have option to further complete Safe Participant Snorkelling. Youth participating in Snorkelling will need to bring their own wetsuit or thermal swimming suits / vest. Snorkelling set will be provided if you do not have your own. Please note participants will need to be able to swim 25m freestyle plus 15m breaststroke or 15m survival backstroke
