HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
This nationally recognised first aid qualification gives Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, Leaders and Adult Members the essential skills to respond confidently in an emergency. Participants learn how to assess situations using DRSABCD, perform CPR on adults and infants, use an AED, and provide first aid for common injuries and medical conditions including bleeding, burns, fractures, asthma, anaphylaxis, choking, shock, seizures and more.
The course is suitable for anyone aged 14+, with youth members supported according to Scouts WA requirements. It includes an online preālearning component followed by a 3hr practical session. On completion, members receive a Statement of Attainment for:
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
HLTAID009 Provide CPR
This training strengthens safety across all sections and prepares members to respond effectively during Scouting activities, camps, adventurous events, and community service.
