Lead the team that helps Scouts WA attract, support, develop, and retain volunteers across Western Australia. This role has a direct impact on the strength and sustainability of Scouting by ensuring volunteers have a positive experience from their first enquiry through to long-term involvement.

Working with Branch, District, and Group leaders, you will provide leadership across volunteer recruitment, onboarding, progression, retention, and recognition. You will support a team of specialist volunteers who help create opportunities for people to join, grow, and thrive in Scouting.

Volunteers are the foundation of Scouting. This role helps ensure Scouts WA can recruit, develop, recognise, and retain capable volunteers, creating stronger Groups, more sustainable operations, and better outcomes for young people across the state.

Key Focus Areas: 

• Lead and support the teams responsible for volunteer recruitment, progression, Fellowship engagement, and retention.
• Develop and implement strategies that improve the volunteer experience across the entire volunteer lifecycle.
• Work with Districts and Groups to address local volunteer challenges and support workforce planning.
• Promote inclusive, welcoming, and effective onboarding and development pathways for volunteers.
• Monitor volunteer engagement, identify opportunities for improvement, and help build a strong and sustainable volunteer workforce.
