Help tell the story of Scouting across Western Australia through photography, video, and visual media. This role leads the teams responsible for capturing and producing content that showcases the adventures, achievements, and impact of Scouting for members, volunteers, families, and the wider community.

Working with the Photography and Visual Productions teams, as well as volunteers and staff from across Scouts WA, you will coordinate media services that support events, campaigns, publications, social media, websites, and organisational projects. You will help ensure media requests are managed effectively and that content is delivered to a high standard.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a creative team, improve how media services are delivered, and help ensure Scouts WA has the visual content needed to promote Scouting, celebrate achievements, and engage the community.

Why This Role Matters

High-quality media helps people understand the impact of Scouting and inspires new members, volunteers, and supporters to get involved. This role ensures Scouts WA can effectively capture, manage, and share stories that celebrate young people, support recruitment, and strengthen the organisation’s public profile.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Lead and support the Photography and Visual Productions teams to deliver high-quality media services across Scouts WA.
  • Coordinate media support for events, campaigns, publications, social media, websites, and organisational projects.
  • Manage media requests, production schedules, priorities, and workflows to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain processes for approvals, consent management, asset storage, production, and content delivery.
  • Work with stakeholders across Scouts WA to continuously improve media services, team capability, and production standards.

We Encourage You to Apply

We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t think you tick every box. Research consistently shows that people often rule themselves out of opportunities because they don’t meet every listed criterion. Scouts WA is looking for enthusiastic, capable people who are willing to learn, contribute and grow. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

You will not be expected to know everything from day one. You will receive guidance, support, and opportunities to build your skills and grow in the role.

We are looking for people with the right attitude and strong organisational skills. Professional experience is welcome, but practical skills developed through work, volunteering or personal projects are also valuable.
