Personal Development Course 3 – 8-10 October 2027

Personal Development Courses provide valuable opportunities for youth members to develop their character, build confidence and strengthen essential life skills. Throughout the course, participants can explore their values, develop leadership capabilities, improve communication and teamwork, and gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others.

Reflecting on Scouts Australia’s One Program philosophy, Personal Development Courses are designed around developmental age ranges rather than individual age sections. This creates opportunities for young people from different sections to learn, collaborate and grow together.

The four courses cater to the following age ranges:

Course 1: 7-9 years

Course 2: 10-13 years

Course 3: 14-16 years

Course 4: 16-20 years

Personal Development Courses form an important part of the Scouts Australia Achievement Pathways and are a requirement for the Peak Awards (excluding the Joey Scout Challenge Award). However, they are not just for those working towards an award, as they are valuable development opportunities for all youth members.
