Volunteer Vacancies

Are you seeking a new challenge in Scouting? Is it time for a change of role? Scouts WA is seeking talented people to fill the following vacancies.

While experience is always a plus, we’re primarily looking for enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and the ability to work as a member of a team! All applicants must complete required training for the role within the relevant timeframe.

Regional Commissioner Scouts – Perth North Region (PNR)

This key role provides direction and support to Group Leaders and Scout Leaders across the region to deliver consistently high quality programs that attract and retain youth members aged 11 to 15. Bring your passion for Scouting to inspire and engage Scout Section Leaders, and bring your experience to help them manage their programs more efficiently. Youth Empowerment, Areas of Personal Growth, and Plan, Do Review are all powerful tools to use in the preparation and delivery of great Scout programs. This role will conduct regional training meetings and help the region gear up for the upcoming new Youth Program. Leader of Adult Basic and Advanced Training will be required in due course.

As the leader of the Beeloo district, the District Commissioner plays an essential role, mentoring Group Leaders, Section Leaders and committees to help Scouting groups in Beeloo grow and thrive. Event Coordinator JOTA – JOTI 2018

Love JOTA-JOTI? We’re looking for someone to coordinate next year’s JOTA-JOTI, held on the third weekend of October annually. JOTA-JOTI is prepared and run by an amazing team of Leaders, Amateur Radio Community Members, Guides and more, who help make the event come to life. The role requires someone to proactively head it up and coordinate resources and materials as needed by this team across WA, working in partnership with Girl Guides WA.

A background of participation in the event would be a basis for an applicant, with an amateur radio license beneficial (but not required) for the individual. Adult Leaders and Youth Members are encouraged to apply.
