SUMMARY:Safe Participant Course - Canoe
DESCRIPTION:Safe Participant (SP) Course – Canoe \nThis is a one-day introduction to canoeing. You will learn basic skills and rescue techniques. \nThis course is self-catered. Participants will need to bring food as if they were hiking. \nPre-requisites for this course are:\n– Compliant member of Scouts WA (this means holding a valid WWCC and Police Clearance\, and all mandatory modules in-date)\n– Hold current first aid certificate\n– Logbook with at least 2 paddling activities entered\, these don’t have to be Scouting activities – any paddling counts but you do have to be in the craft type you are going for the qualification in eg- 2 canoeing activities\n– Completion of on-demand e-learning modules (These are the Level 1 Common Core set\, and the Level 1 Canoeing/Kayaking set) Modules can be accessed through training.scouts.com.au \nRegistrations close 4pm 24th August\, or when the course has reached capacity.
