DESCRIPTION:Welcome to a fun day out on bicycles! This event is part of Jamboree on Pedals and has been designed to be fun\, challenging and inclusive for all age groups. Expect scenic rides around the river whilst completing a set of challenges. You may even turn it into an Amazing Race\, should you wish to.\nAt the end of the event\, registered participants will be provided with the 2026 Jamboree on Pedals badge (some other surprise giveaways are also planned).\nSupervision will be provided by each group. Please ensure adequate numbers of leaders and adults for the activity. If your group is small and / or does not have sufficient adults\, please contact neighbouring groups or your DC. \nYouth can complete the entire activity whilst staying on bike paths. \nLocation: Location: Burswood Park. Look for a Scouts banner in one of the permanent gazebos. \nWhat to bring:\n– Functioning bicycle\n– Repair kit\n– Helmet\n– Water bottle\n– Sunscreen\n– Small first aid kit\n– Sense of adventure\nSchedule:\n– 9:00 AM: Arrive at Burswood Park (between Crown Casino carpark and Willem de Vlamingh sculpture)\n– 9:00 – 10:00 AM: bike checks\, event briefing\, general organizing\n– 10:00 AM: Event start.\n– 12:00 PM: Participants return to starting point. \nIf the 12 PM return deadline is missed\, badges can later be collected from West Perth. \nPlease list your Scout Group as your team name. \nThe $5 cost will cover a blanket badge. \nRegistrations are in ScoutMap at R-003574. \nIf you are having trouble registering for this event\, please email events@scoutswa.com.au.

SUMMARY:Rotto Splash 2026
DESCRIPTION:Rotto Splash 2026 \nThis year’s one-day event will focus on the environment\, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\, and community service\, all while working on your OAS progressions. Thanks to support from the Rottnest Island Authority\, we will begin the day with a ranger-led talk followed by a beach clean-up with data collection on the collected waste contributing to environmental awareness and action. \nYouth will need to register into one of 2 groups each aligned with a specific SDG theme: Life Below Water and Life on Land. \nThis event is for Venturers and Rovers. \nThe Life on Land group will conduct their clean-up by bike\, during which participants could log up to two bike rides for OAS progression. \nThe Life Below Water group will focus on a snorkelling-based beach clean-up. Participants in this group may complete most\, if not all\, of OAS Stage 4 Snorkelling and have option to further complete Safe Participant Snorkelling. Youth participating in Snorkelling will need to bring their own wetsuit or thermal swimming suits / vest. Snorkelling set will be provided if you do not have your own. Please note participants will need to be able to swim 25m freestyle plus 15m breaststroke or 15m survival backstroke \nPlease ensure you meet no later than 7am at BShed for registration prior to boarding the ferry. \n$45 event fee includes the ferry trip and hire of bikes\, please BYO lunch\, water bottle and snacks. \nRegistrations are through ScoutMap and close 4pm 1 May 2026. DESCRIPTION:Scouting Essentials Course – June \n  \nEligibility – Rover Scouts\, Leaders\, Volunteers \nMax numbers – 24 participants \nScouting Essentials are the ‘survival skills’ for an Adult Leader. They explain how the youth Achievement Pathways work\, how to operate a youth led program\, the Patrol System\, youth empowerment and some initial leadership skills training. \n*Registrations close 4pm June 5 2026\, or when the course has reached capacity. Once capacity has been reached\, a waitlist will be established. You must have completed all the required On-Demand Learning Modules before you are added onto the waitlist. You will not be offered a spot if one becomes available and the pre-requisites have not been met. Register through ScoutMap\, or HERE. If you are experiencing difficulties registering\, please contact training@scoutswa.com.au prior to registrations closing* \nScouting Preliminary and Scouting Essentials On Demand learning modules must be completed before submitting your registration.
