SUMMARY:Rotto Splash 2026
DESCRIPTION:Rotto Splash 2026 \nThis year’s one-day event will focus on the environment\, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\, and community service\, all while working on your OAS progressions. Thanks to support from the Rottnest Island Authority\, we will begin the day with a ranger-led talk followed by a beach clean-up with data collection on the collected waste contributing to environmental awareness and action. \nYouth will need to register into one of 2 groups each aligned with a specific SDG theme: Life Below Water and Life on Land. \nThis event is for Venturers and Rovers. \nThe Life on Land group will conduct their clean-up by bike\, during which participants could log up to two bike rides for OAS progression. \nThe Life Below Water group will focus on a snorkelling-based beach clean-up. Participants in this group may complete most\, if not all\, of OAS Stage 4 Snorkelling and have option to further complete Safe Participant Snorkelling. Youth participating in Snorkelling will need to bring their own wetsuit or thermal swimming suits / vest. Snorkelling set will be provided if you do not have your own. Please note participants will need to be able to swim 25m freestyle plus 15m breaststroke or 15m survival backstroke \nPlease ensure you meet no later than 7am at BShed for registration prior to boarding the ferry. \n$45 event fee includes the ferry trip and hire of bikes\, please BYO lunch\, water bottle and snacks. \nRegistrations are through ScoutMap and close 4pm 1 May 2026.
