DESCRIPTION:Start Date – 20th March 7:00PM \nEnd Date – 22nd March 4:00PM \nLocation – Manjedal Activity Centre (163 Manjedal Road\, Karrakup 6122) \nEligibility – Rover Scouts\, Leaders\, Volunteers \nMax numbers – 26 participants \nScouting Essentials are the ‘survival skills’ for an Adult Leader. They explain how the youth Achievement Pathways work\, how to operate a youth led program\, the Patrol System\, youth empowerment and some initial leadership skills training. \nThere are two parts to Scouting Essentials. A series of self-paced on demand training modules which must be completed prior to registering for this face-to-face course.\nThe following online modules can be found at training.scouts.com.au \nScouting Preliminary On Demand:\nSP ADULT – I’m and Adult Leader\nSP CHILD – Child Safe Scouting\nSP METHOD – The Scout Method\nSP SAFE – Preliminary ScoutSafe\nSP SPICES – Educational Objectives & SPICES\nSP WHS – WHS for Scouting\nSP YLAS – Youth Leading\, Adult Supporting \nScouting Essentials On Demand:\nSE ACHIEVE – Achievement Pathways\nSE BEHAVE – Managing Behaviors\nSE EMPOWER – Youth Empowerment\nSE INCLUDE – Being Inclusive\nSE PATROL – The Patrols System for One Program\nSE PDR – Plan> Do> Review\nSE RESILIENCE – Building Resilience\nSE SCOUT – I’m a Scout\nSE THANKS – Thank you BP\nSE YLPROG – Youth Led Programming \nOnce these have been completed\, please register for the Scouting Essentials course.
