SUMMARY:Venturer Scout Unit Management Course March 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Venturer Unit Management Course is an invaluable way to learn the ins and outs of making your Unit successful. Leaders are also highly encouraged to attend. This course is open to Venturer Scouts of all ages\, and Scouts that are transitioning to Venturer Scouts. Unit Management can be used as a Personal Development course for the Peak Award. \nLunch\, Dinner and snacks are included on Saturday and breakfast is included on Sunday. Youth will be sleeping in the hall and are required to bring own bedding\, mattress etc . Full uniform is required. \nPlease bring a device you can access the internet on (prefer tablet or Ipad). \nCost: $50 \nWhen: Sat 14 March 8am to Sun 15 March 12pm. \nWhere: Midland Scout Hall\, 10 Helen St\, Bellevue WA 6056 \nYouth that are attending Meet a Random Venturer on Friday 13th March are welcome to sleep over at the hall. DESCRIPTION:Swan Descent is a one-day paddling expedition starting at Middle Swan Reserve in Middle Swan and finishing at Fishmarket Reserve in Guildford covering a distance of around 8km.\nThis event is perfect for groups who have done some paddling already and want to expand their skills with a longer paddle.\nIt is open to all Scouts\, Venturers\, Rovers and Leaders. Each group needs to have a supporting leader that is paddling. The Scouts WA Adventurous Activities Paddle Team will provide qualified Activity Leaders. \nTime: 8:00am – 3pm \nSwan Descent will also include a PD for any Venturers\, Rovers and Leaders working on\, or maintaining\, a Scouts WA Canoeing qualification. \nRegistrations are now open in ScoutMap at R-003142 and close March 1st.
