DESCRIPTION:Basic Radio – Cubs session 1\nThe Cub Scout SIA STEM and Innovation badge requires Cub Scouts to complete 4 hours of activity. Two different Cub Scout Radio workshops are offered\, each one and a half hours in duration. \nCub Scouts who attend both workshops should cover the 3 hours of the SIA requirement. In addition\, Cub Scouts can complete a 1 hour additional individual or patrol project\, or a unit based activity in their home unit. A range of suggested activities is available. \nSession 1 – Construct circuit kits; use the Morse Code sounder to spell your name and more; Discover other secret codes; Find the radio ‘fox’ \nSession 2 – Learn and play with the phonetic alphabet; Find the radio stations on a radio contest recording; Talk on the hand-held radios; Radio orienteering treasure hunt \nTime 6:00pm to 7:30pm\nVenue: 12 Farris Place\, Innaloo \nIf you would like to reserve this session for your group\, or you are having trouble registering\, please contact Events: events@scoutswa.com.au. \nFor further information about the session\, please contact the Radio Team: radio@scoutswa.com.au.

SUMMARY:Kayaking Skills Session - UWA
DESCRIPTION:Eligibility – Scouts\, Venturer Scouts\, Rover Scouts\, Leaders & Adult Members\nMax numbers – 10 participants (minimum of 4 participants required) \nLearn to exit and re-enter Kayak\, roll a Kayak with a paddle\, roll a Kayak without a paddle. \nThe Activity will begin with a brief and end with a review. Participants are required to wear a rashie and boardies. \nCost: Entry fee to pool – $7 participants MUST visit the Aquatic Office to pay gate entry before they enter the water.
