SUMMARY:Canning Ascent
DESCRIPTION:This is a two-day expedition up the Canning River from Waylen Bay Scout Hall in Applecross to Royal St\, Kenwick. \nYou will carry all your camping gear and food in your canoes. You will camp overnight at Canning Scout Hall. \nYou will be paddling approx. 10km each day. Some canoeing experience is advised; this is not an event for people who have never paddled before. \nThe Scouts WA Paddle Team will supply Qualified Activity Leaders for the event. This is an opportunity for ALL Scouts to do a two-day expedition. \nThe Paddle Team can help any groups who need to borrow canoes but the sooner you ask\, the more likely we can help. \nThis event can also count as a PD Course for any leaders working on Canoeing qualification. \n**Registrations close 4pm 5th October 2025** \nIf you have any questions regarding the event\, please contact the event team: Mitchell.Griffin@scoutswa.com.au \nIf you are experiencing difficulties registering\, please contact Events: events@scoutswa.com.au

DESCRIPTION:**Registrations Close 4pm Friday 3 October** \nGilwell Reunion is the only opportunity each year for the members of 1st Gilwell Park Scout Group (Wood Badge holders aka Gilwellians) to meet\, celebrate\, and welcome new members. \nThis year’s Gilwell Reunion is particularly special as we recognise 100 years of Wood Badge training in Western Australia. To celebrate this we are holding a special dinner at Salter Point Sea Scout group. \nGilwellians are encouraged to book a table of eight – yourself and 7 other Wood Badge holders.
