Venturer Scouts

Venturer Scouts is a do-it-yourself mix of fun, adventure and personal challenge that brings together like-minded young people aged 14 to 18, from all walks of life. You can focus on friendship and personal growth while picking up valuable life skills along the way.

As a Venturer Scout, you may find yourself exploring wilderness Australia, camping, abseiling, or diving off the coast. Whatever your challenge, there will be trained and highly experienced adults to guide you through the experience, and to teach you the necessary skills and safety techniques.

Venturer Scouts get the opportunity to travel overseas and organise activities, live with a different community and provide service to others. You don’t need to have any previous Scouting experience. We’ll help you catch up.

Through the Unit program, Venturer Scouts practice and enhance their leadership and planning abilities, develop necessary skills and safety techniques, find a sense of belonging and share the experience of personal development.

And, every three years, Venturer Scouts have the opportunity to attend an Australian Scout Jamboree where they join 10,000 other youth members from around Australia and across the world for a 10-day camp.
