Policies and Procedures

The Western Australian community demands accountability and care in the way that all ‘service agencies’ (private and public) conduct their business and deliver their services.  As a not-for-profit, volunteer based organisation which delivers non-formal education programs to young people, we are committed to maintaining the safest environment possible for all volunteers, staff and Youth Members.

For over 100 years, Scouting has been an important and successful part of the Western Australian community. We provide non-formal educational and recreational programs which help young people to develop emotionally, spiritually and physically. Scouts WA has always placed a high emphasis on its ability to deliver these programs in practical and safe environments. To this end Scouts WA have developed a comprehensive risk management system which provides clear direction for the safe conduct of all our operations and activities. Some of the policies, or summaries thereof, within that system are available below.

Our policies are undergoing a comprehensive review and those of interest to the general public will be added to this page over the coming months. You are welcome to peruse the policies in this section. If you have any questions, please contact the Scouts WA Branch Office on 6240 7700 or by email at enquiries@scoutswa.com.au.
