Can you donate a weekend to help Glen Stenton, our Castles Project Coordinator with this building project? We need to have all the Castles erected by the end of June this year. Please let Glen know if you can assist by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and he will arrange a suitable weekend.
If ANZAC House could be built in one day we are sure that Scouts WA Members can manage a few ‘huts’ over a weekend. We really need YOUR help.
Thank you to everyone who has already submitted the F1 (Scout Groups) and F2 (District) to BHQ. However, we are still missing a few. Please ensure these are sent to Rose on email@example.com no later than 3 March 2017.
We have received quite a few calls from Groups who are unable to access their KidSport account. If you are having any issues, please contact Lisa at firstname.lastname@example.org so she can re-set your password with the Department of Sport and Recreation.
The National Executive Committee recently adopted the ‘The Scouts Australia Child Protection Policy and Prescribed Procedures’ (The Policy). The Chief Commissioner of Australia has directed all Branches to launch the document to Members. The Policy can be accessed by clicking here.
Please note that much of what is contained in the new Policy is already contained in the now superseded Scouts WA Policy and Procedure documents. However, where there is a requirement for any additional Scouts WA Branch information (WA Framework) to be included, ‘footnotes’ have been inserted in blue text where relevant. The new Policy can also be found on the Scouts WA website or on MyScout under ‘Resources – Documents’. Should you require any further explanation please phone the Incident Liaison Officer, Faye Lund on 0400 525 629.
The Lotterywest Block Grant Applications for 2017 are now open. If you are interested in securing funding for your Group, please review the following information here, complete the application form here and return it to the Executive Assistant email@example.com at BHQ before 25 March 2016. These forms are also available on MyScout under ‘Resources – Documents’. Please ensure you meet this deadline as late submissions will not be accepted!
Please ensure that your Property and Assets Review and F1 have been completed before you apply for the grant.
Respect for the dignity of other people is a fundamental value of the Scouting movement, and includes ensuring that others feel safe, secure and free from personal and verbal harassment/abuse. The purpose of this Policy is to protect the interests of Adult and Youth Members who are transgender/gender diverse.
