Friends of Scouting WA (FOSWA) The Friends of Scouting WA (FOSWA) is a Fellowship volunteer team lead by James Maughmer and Dawn Kelly which assist the support team at Branch with events such as the Royal Show, the Founder’s Day parade and other Branch activities such as Cubilee. FOSWA see themselves as a Branch asset and another resource that Branch could draw upon to help with projects and tasks. FOSWA provides an opportunity for retiring Leaders, Parents, Adult members and the general public to support Scouting without a heavy weekly commitment. This enables our volunteers to participate at their own pace and allows members to connect at a social level with other like-minded people within the Scouting community.
James Maughmer and Dawn Kelly would be delighted to hear from you and can be reached on 0413 620 394 or wascouter@hotmail.com and 0421 332 290 or holisticalignmentcentre@iinet.net.au respectively.
The Fellowship is attached to the Branch, making it a resource of the Chief Commissioner. All members of the Fellowship will be members of the WA Branch and will pay a fee. As members of the WA Branch, FOSWA is bound by the Policy and Rules of the Scout Association and also required to undertake the annual census.
